  • Kyra Sedgwick, Partner

    Kyra Sedgwick is an award-winning actor, director, and producer with a career spanning over three decades in Hollywood. Best known for her Emmy and Golden Globe-winning performance as Brenda Leigh Johnson in The Closer, Sedgwick has become one of the most respected figures in the entertainment industry. As a director, her feature film debut, Space Oddity, premiered to critical acclaim, showcasing her talent for capturing heartfelt, character-driven stories. She also directed episodes of popular TV shows such as Grace and Frankie and City on a Hill, further solidifying her reputation behind the camera.

    As a partner at Big Swing Productions, Sedgwick is committed to championing inclusive and thought-provoking stories that amplify bold voices. She has produced a range of compelling projects, including the Emmy-nominated Story of a Girl, a Lifetime original film that also marked her directorial debut.

    Sedgwick’s work continues to push boundaries, blending her passion for storytelling with a commitment to creating content that inspires and challenges audiences.

  • Valerie Stadler, Partner

    Valerie Stadler is a producer, filmmaker, and executive whose work has been showcased at prestigious festivals and venues including Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca, MOCA, TIFF, and the Whitney Museum. Known for her strong storytelling instincts and deep industry knowledge, Valerie skillfully bridges the gap between business and creative, bringing intention and strategy to every project.

    As a Co-Founder of Big Swing Productions alongside Kyra Sedgwick and Meredith Bagby, Valerie has developed a slate of film and television projects that emphasize heart and purpose. Previously, she served as the Head of Production and Development for Fluency, a multi-platform studio under NBC Universal, where she oversaw day-to-day operations, development, and partnerships both inside and outside the studio.

    A 2019 Sundance Episodic Lab Fellow, Valerie also serves on the Board of Directors for Outfest and SeriesFest. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and one too many cats.

    Meredith Bagby, Partner

    Meredith Bagby is the author of The New Guys: The Astronauts That Changed the Face of Space Travel, a critically acclaimed account of the new era of space exploration. The book is now in pre-production as The Challenger with Amazon MGM Studios and Amblin, with Kristen Stewart attached to star. She is a partner at Big Swing Productions, where she champions bold, inclusive storytelling for film and television. Bagby’s previous books include We’ve Got Issues, Rational Exuberance, and The Annual Report of the United States of America.

    Before joining Big Swing, Bagby held a variety of influential roles, including senior film development executive at DreamWorks SKG, reporter and producer at CNN, and teaching fellow at Harvard’s Institute of Politics. She earned her undergraduate degree from Harvard College and her JD from Columbia Law School.

    Meredith combines her passion for storytelling with a deep commitment to amplifying unique voices and creating purposeful, impactful narratives.
